Zhao Yao was born in Sichuan province in 1981. He graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2004, and currently lives and works in Beijing. His solo shows were held at Beijing Commune, Beijing (2018, 2016, 2012, 2011), Pace Gallery, Hong Kong (2015), Pace Gallery, London (2013), Taikang Space (Beijing, 2010).
