Press Release

With an average rainfall of less than 100 mm Qatar has one of the driest landscapes worldwide. In a case of emergency the water reserves would only be sufficient for 48 hours in 2016 (for 7 days in 2026)...

Extreme temperatures of up to 50 Degrees Celsius in summer create a vital dependence on air condition, that became part of a daly modern life in the gulf region.

The continuous dripping of condensate released by cooling systems, creates the possibility of new life in an otherwise hostile environment.

This often results in a greening ‘by-product’, a plant that seeks to thrive in total, fragile dependence on a technological achievement of modern civilisation.
