Press Release

A winter groupshow featuring twelve artists – Antonio Ballester Moreno, Mirko Baselgia, Lêna Bùi, Chen Sixin, Klodin Erb, Hu Qingyan, Miao Miao, Loredana Sperini, Rebekka Steiger, Ju Ting, Alice Wang and Wiedemann/Mettler – exploring how works respond to the atmosphere of the cold season. Rather than a thematic exhibition, it presents distinct artistic positions that share an underlying set of seasonal conditions: compressed time, silent intimacy and the tension between cold exteriors and overheated interiors. Individual works evoke winter through imagery such as icy, icon-like rocket paintings, overripe festive tableaux, meteorite scans that appear both microscopic and cosmic, botanical-anatomical hybrids, brittle trees against urban backdrops, and a glacial nocturnal riding scene, all attuned to how artworks sit together when it is cold outside.
