Martin Browne is delighted to present, Neoarchaic, a new exhibition of sculptural works by Jonathon McCord.
McCord creates works of great beauty and elegance using bones found on the property where he lives in Queensland. The bones are the remains of mature animals that have died a natural death and are found sun dried in the open landscape.
McCord’s affection and respect for cows has grown in the time he has spent on the property, appreciating their peaceful character, intuitive intelligence and protective loyalty to their young and herd. He aims to venerate their physical beauty in works of art.
