ShanghART M50 is honored to present the large-scale sculpture project Hole by artist Su Chang from 18 March to 16 May, 2021. This is the first 2021 exhibition of ShanghART M50 and the artist’s first show with the gallery. In the past two months, Su Chang has been working at our M50 location that used to be a boiler house. Isolated from the bustling urban area, this exhibition creates an entrance to the psychological space for the audience.

To provide a better viewing experience, this exhibition is open by appointment only starting 19 March. Please schedule your visit via email m50@shanghartgallery.com.

About the Artist

Su Chang is a sculpture artist who is active in the field of contemporary art. He constantly explores and discusses the boundary between perception and daily life through simple and powerful forms.

About the Gallery

Founded in 1996, ShanghART Gallery is one of the first contemporary art galleries established in China. With spaces in Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore, ShanghART has been a driving force of the development of Chinese contemporary art for the past twenty years.
