BELYNDA HENRY

My everyday fascination with the Australian landscape and nature fuels the images that I paint. Living in a long valley which I drive through daily and draw inspiration from, I constantly and automatically gather views and flashes of moments and images I see.
While not attempting to paint a clear representation of area I lives in, I take parts from everywhere. Then, much like a jigsaw, I reassemble these flashes and memories into a mostly imagined and emotional interpretation of the beauty that surrounds me. Belynda Henry 2015.

Belynda Henry lives and works on the Central Coast, NSW with her husband and two daughters. After completing her Bachelor of Visual Arts at the Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney University, Henry has exhibited widely in both solo and group exhibitions over the past twenty years. As well as being a twice finalist in the Wynne, she has been a finalist in the Gosford Art Prize (2006 & 2003), the Tattersalls Art Prize and the Mosman Art Prize (2003) among others. She has been featured in numerous publications and blogs including: FETE, Country Style Magazine, The Design Files, Daily Imprint, The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, Interiors Addict, Ina Designer Home, EST, Home Beautiful, Real Living, Inside Out, Belle, House and Garden, The Home, Queensland Home, The Block Magazine and Style Curator.
