1890-1967, AustraliaCelebrated for his work in both rock and bark painting, Badmardi artist Nadjombolmi was also respected as a hunter and fisherman, a reputation that earned him the nickname ‘Charlie Barramundi’. Nadjombolmi’s inclusion in the National Museum of Australia’s exhibition Old Masters: Australia’s Great Bark Artists (2013–2014) affirmed his place among the leading painters of West Arnhem Land.
