Elliott Jun Wright, (born 1984, Junction City, Kansas), Korean-American artist whose experiences - shaped by his estranged Korean mother at an early age and turbulent upbringing - inspired him to synthesize his early domestic surroundings coupled with cultural signifiers of prescribed asian identity by western authors into narratives of loss, longing and resistance. Wright has presented work in various group exhibitions internationally including Manila Institute, New York NY (2017-2016); Hester, New York NY (2015); Bronx Art Space, Bronx NY (2014); +81 Gallery, Brooklyn NY (2014); Abrons Art Center, New York NY (2013); Preteen Gallery, Mexico City MX(2013-2012); Non- Objective Sud, Tulette FR (2011) and The Sorbonne, Paris FR (2011). Jun Wright has also organized the exhibition Taste Spa at Manilia Institute (2016).
