Born 1971 in Mulhouse, France. Between the years 1993-98 he studied photography at l’Ecole Nationale des Arts Visuels de la Cambre in Brussels. The artist lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. A good listener, extremely attentive, Franck Christen photographs states of the world, establishes its possible portraits, isolating each foliated layer. His applied approach responds to the aesthetic of simplicity and harmony, it discretely reminds us of the Japanese Haiku codes. Elegantly, these images stand out. Throughout the time to which they belong , they reveal the tenuous sensations that make and break the secret relations between things. He is a visiting teacher at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels.
