Jason Wee Biography

The founder of Grey Projects, a non-profit artists’ space in Singapore, Jason Wee is a prolific artist, writer and curator. An advocate of artistic exchange and independent publication, Wee studied photography and philosophy at Parsons School of Deisgn in New York before participating in the Whitney Museum Independent Studio Programme. His interest in community based programmes has seen the rise of Singapore’s most exciting and influential artists’ spaces in recent years, while his own work deals with conflicts and mis-interpretations of local histories and sites, allowing for the possibility of elusive and utopian ideas.
