SAMUEL WAGBARA
1928-1979, AustraliaSamuel Wagbara was working at Minjilang, Croker Island, in the 1960s. Many of the Minjilang artists painted in a ‘dynamic’ style of rock painting that dates back at least 15,000 years on the rocky escarpments of West Arnhem Land. The term ‘dynamic’ applies to depictions of figures caught in an act of movement such as running, dancing or hunting.
