Who is Showing at artemonte-carlo 2023?

Monaco’s Artemonte-carlo returns to the Grimaldi forum from 8 to 9 July, drawing an international selection of visiting galleries.
Thirty-four galleries—two fewer than last year—will present artworks at the fair including international regulars, Almine Rech, Esther Schipper, Hauser & Wirth, Perrotin and White Cube.
International gallery LGDR, will make its Artmonte-carlo debut showcasing works by Martial Raysse—one of the founding figures of the French Nouveau Réalisme movement in the 1960s.
The gallery is one of 14 participating for the first time in the artgenève-spawned fair.
Others include Bastian, who will be presenting works by Pablo Picasso, Cy Twombly, and Jae Dubuffet; and Vienna-based Christine König Galerie who will present contemporary portraits by Czech painter Adéla Janská, and Bosnian artist Radenko Milak.
Paris-based Magnin-A, who exhibited last year at Paris+, and 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, will present a selection of African contemporary artists including Senegal photographer Omar Victor Diop. Last year, Diop held institutional solo shows at Fotografiska, Sweden, and Turku Art Museum, Finland.
The Artmonte Carlo F.P. Journe Prize will be awarded to the gallery with the best exhibition selected by a jury, with one work to be selected by the show for the collection of the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco.
Last year’s winners were French duo Alexandre & Florentine Lamarche-Ovize represented by Gallery laurent godin.
The fair will also feature sculptural works on the Grimaldi forum’s esplanade.
