Lee Ufan‘s sculptures and paintings placement across the ancient necropolis of Alyscamps—a heritage site on the outskirts of the city of Arles—emphasises their relation to the natural world.
A poetic symbiosis is generated between Lee’s work and the site in Arles—a city that has inspired artists including Van Gogh and Gauguin.
Lee Ufan: Requiem is running alongside a solo exhibition of the artist’s work at Lisson Gallery‘s London space, and preempts his new exhibition centre opening in Arles next Spring.
