Bartha Contemporary is pleased to announce the representation of the German artist Florian Baudrexel. Recognised for his bold sculptures and his innovative use of everyday materials, the artist has established an international following.
Born out of an interest in the Avant-Garde, Architecture and the aesthetic of the Machine Age, Florian Baudrexel's works, made of everyday materials, embrace a carefully orchestrated sense of motion and direction. Unburdened by physical weight, these works occupy an immense visual presence.
Florian Baudrexel's sculptures and wall reliefs converge to define instances of modulated space. Rather than rely on tested formal composition, the intuitive process enabled by a knowledge of the past makes these works truly contemporary. As element by element gets added and altered to create a densely textured composition, the artist continuously edits the overall appearance as each piece finds its form.
