David Zwirner is one of the leading contemporary art galleries in the world, with locations in New York, London, Paris, and Hong Kong. The gallery represents an incredible range of 21st-century and contemporary international artists and estates, from the European masters of the past century and American Minimalists to internationally renowned artists. David Zwirner is noted for its challenging and forward-thinking exhibitions, showcasing works across a variety of media and genres.
Read MoreDavid Zwirner first opened its doors at 43 Green Street in SoHo New York, in 1993, with a solo presentation of works by the late Austrian artist Franz West. In 2002, Zwirner moved his gallery to West 19th Street in Chelsea. The gallery now has three locations in New York (525 West 19th Street; 537 West 20th Street; 34 East 69th Street), with outposts in London’s Mayfair district (since 2012) and Hong Kong (since 2018). In September 2017, David Zwirner also launched David Zwirner Online, the gallery’s online sales channel. In October 2019, David Zwirner opened its first Paris gallery, and will be followed by a new gallery in New York at 540 West 21st Street in the fall of 2021. This space will be the first commercial gallery designed by Renzo Piano.
In addition to the gallery program, David Zwirner operates David Zwirner Books, the gallery’s publishing arm that launched in 2014, and the podcast Dialogues, which premiered season one in 2018 and debuted season two in the fall of 2019.
