December 2024 marks 25 years of Starkwhite. We’re celebrating this significant milestone with a group show of classic works from the archives in lively conversation with new works made for the occasion.

Features works by Billy Apple, Martin Basher, Whitney Bedford, Alicia Frankovich, Marti Friedlander, Bill Henson, Richard Maloy, Laith McGregor, Jonny Niesche, Seung Yul Oh, Ani O’Neill, Fiona Pardington, John Reynolds, Jamie Te Heuheu, Gordon Walters and Michael Zavros.

Just when we think we’ve seen it all before, a milestone can prompt us to recontextualise memories in light of all we’ve seen since. The gallery would like to thank all the incredible artists, staff, collectors and friends that have been so integral to the gallery in allowing and supporting us the privilege of 25 years.
