Gema Quiles, lives and works in Valencia, Spain. Her work, focused on painting and sculpture, reflects on the reinterpretation of reality and the creation of new private spaces as refuge. She resorts to an imaginary based on characteristic elements of nature to create this place of scape, where both the artist and the viewer transit and inhabit.
Graduated in Fine Arts at the Universidad Politécnica of Valencia, she’s been able to develop her work at the Sztuk Pieknych Academy in Wroclaw (Poland), and at La Rectoria in Barcelona, thanks to the ‘Hábitat Artístic’ artist scholarship.
