Hiram Latorre has a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Escola da Cidade (São Paulo, Brasil).
His research is directly related to ocular dynamics and framing. The artist proposes cut-out landscapes, split by a gaze sharpened by architecture and chromatic limits, using repetition, pattern, and contrasts to highlight differences. He also proposes his own riddles, asking us to understand a world that goes beyond the canvas, and creating, in his cut-out of the cut-out, a liminal territory that stands in the way of reality.
He took part in the group show Museum at the Artium Institute curated by Alberto Simon (2023), Equilíbrio dos Barracos at the Museu das Favelas curated by Carollina Lauriano and Guilherme Teixeira (2023), Rosas Brasileiras at Farol Santander (2023), Ervas Daninhas at Quadra Galeria curated by Julie Dumont (2024) and was part of the collection of the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes in Rio de Janeiro (2023).
