Sasha Gordon Biography

Sasha Gordon lives and works in New York. She graduated from The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2021. Her work explores self image, racial prejudice, mental illness, and the male gaze, while also exhibiting discomfort with intimacy and the female body.

Solo exhibitions include Hands of Others, Jeffrey Deitch, New York (2022) and Enters Thief, Matthew Brown, Los Angeles (2021). Recent group exhibitions include Wonder Women, Jeffrey Deitch, New York and Los Angeles (2022); Tails and Heads, Clearing, New York (2021); Mother and Child, Friend Indeed, San Francisco (2021); No Time Like The Present, Public Gallery, London (2020); Big Painting, Patrick Parrish, New York (2019); Night and Day, Thierry Goldberg, New York (2019); and Nostos, Matthew Brown, Los Angeles (2019).

Gordon’s first institutional exhibition, Heroic Bodies, organised by Collaborations by Tania and Thomas Asbæk, opened at the Rudolph Tegners Museum in Dronningmølle, Denmark in the Summer of 2022.
