Hong Kong artist Doreen Chan Wing Yan’s new solo exhibition includes a series of new works, commissioned during her recent residency at HB station, Guangzhou. By revisiting a past relationship, Chan examines the fluid border between private emotions and public structures, as well as a possible meeting point for emotional and artistic labour. A series of physical and emotional exercises is thus performed and presented by the artist in the exhibition space: the repetitive act of folding and unfolding personal memories, making and remaking of objects, building and unbuilding of space.

Hard Cream is curated by Qu Chang, and co-produced by Para Site and HB Station.
