Asia Art Archive Announces 25th Anniversary Fundraiser

In celebration of its 25th year, Asia Art Archive (AAA) will present over 65 major works by renowned and emerging artists from Asia and beyond in its fundraising auction this year. Proceeds from the auction will support AAA’s mission of preserving and sharing contemporary art histories in Asia.

This year’s auction features works by Cao Fei, Nicole Eisenman, Antony Gormley, Hao Liang, Heidi Lau, Lee Kit, Liu Wei, ruangrupa, Pinaree Sanpitak, Vishwa Shroff, teamLab, and more.

In partnership with Christie’s Hong Kong, a preview of the artworks will be open to the public from 7 to 11 November (7/F, The Henderson, Central). The works will be available for online bidding at aaa2025auction.com from 27 October to 14 November.

To mark its 25th anniversary, AAA unveiled a premier archiving and digitisation facility in July 2025. This space is designed to enhance AAA’s operational efficiency and support the archiving needs of local artists and cultural organisations. Under the theme of ‘Archive for All: Growing with Communities,’ AAA will present a series of anniversary programmes this fall. The series includes a year-long exhibition, a publication on Hong Kong art history, residencies, educational resources, and a talk series on archiving.
