For the first time, the fair has invited Hong Kong independent art space Para Site to curate its public film programme, showcasing work by artists from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

The impressive galleries lined up for Art Basel Hong Kong 2025 will '[reinforce] the fair's position as a cultural crossroads and vital anchor in Asia's ever-growing art scenes,' she added.

During the fair, the MGM Discoveries Art Prize for emerging artists will announce its inaugural winner. The U.S. $50,000 prize will be shared between the artist and the gallery showcasing their work at Art Basel Hong Kong, and includes an opportunity to exhibit in Macau. —[O]
