Abraham Cruzvillegas explores the economic dynamics of the temporary, handmade and recycled things. His work Autoconstrucción refers to his experience in El Ajusco, neighbourhood in Mexico City where he grew up and participated-during the first twenty years of his life-in building the house of his parents, a slow process which all of his family and neighbours attended. The house was built with recycled materials and improvised techniques, all in the midst of an economic and social fragility.
