“I prefer materials that at some point were liquid; clay, concrete, fiberglass, all possible metals. I have difficulties with wood, because it starts as wood and remains it. It is mutability that I am interested in“, says Catherine LEE. Her preference for fluent and moldable materials guided LEE to bronze casting. Its surface can be modified in various ways, this is characteristic for her work.
