Massimo Agostinelli is an Italian American contemporary artist from Manhattan, New York. Agostinelli was born in London and lives and works in Switzerland.
Agostinelli graduated from Webster University (Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts) while pursuing apprenticeships in typesetting and other forms of printmaking which led to his first solo show entitled ‘Palindromes Series, 2014’ at Hus Gallery in London. Agostinelli then went on to unveil the ‘Anagrams Series, 2015’ at the Hoerle Guggenheim Gallery in New York and most recently Agostinelli has launched his Signs Series, 2016 at Maddox Gallery in London.
Agostinelli primarily focuses on ‘text art’ among other forms of word play and visual poetry, using a diverse range of mediums including acrylic mirror, lenticular pigment, vinyl on aluminium, neon light and a wide spectrum of techniques. His works have been featured in galleries and art fairs including several museum exhibitions as well as being held in international private and public art collections.
