Olafur Eliasson, born in 1967, Copenhagen, Denmark, is currently based in Berlin, where he has established Studio Olafur Eliasson, a laboratory for spatial experiments. His works have been the subject of numerous exhibitions worldwide and he has produced a number of projects in the public sphere, most recently the “New York City Waterfalls” in 2008. Recently, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art organized his first comprehensive survey in the U.S., “Take your time: Olafur Eliasson,” which along others travelled to the Museum of Modern Art, P.S.1. Contemporary Art Center, New York and continues to MCA Sydney in December.
