Born in Chongqing, Sichuan, renowned photo artist Qin Wen has recorded with his lens the unprecedented destruction of Chinese traditional culture during the progress of contemporary urbanization, along with the complexity and contradictions of the current social situation in China.
Qin Wen has a strong focus on society. He clearly demonstrates that we constantly use our “wisdom” to reform our surroundings. In the mountains, we build high walls. On the vast lands, we build homes.
In the running river, we build dams. The dirt road, asphalt road, railway, runway.
