Zhou Jie (周杰) is a Chinese artist born in 1988 in Sichuan Province, China. After receiving Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the Oil Painting Department of the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Zhou Jie has gone on to exhibit throughout China, as well as in Denmark and Germany. His works of oil on canvas offer a depth of dimensionality with subdued hues and a darkened palette, invigorating a sense of searching mystery. Thin lines thread across black and gray to create landscapes of wiry mountains and landmarks, displaying a quiet, unsettled sensitivity.
