About EXPO Chicago 2026

Following in the footsteps of Art Chicago, Art Basel’s North American contemporary art fair alternative shut in 2011, EXPO Chicago, the international modern and contemporary art fair, attests to the enduring legacy of artistic innovation and cultural exchange of its city.

Since 2012, EXPO Chicago has showcased the evolution of contemporary art at the Navy Pier, reflecting the shifting paradigms of our time. From its humble beginnings, the fair has grown into a globally recognised platform acquired by Frieze in 2023, attracting leading galleries, esteemed artists, and discerning collectors from around the world.

Each edition of EXPO Chicago weaves together a narrative of artistic exploration and discovery, spanning diverse mediums and cultural perspectives. It serves as a living chronicle of contemporary art, documenting the triumphs and tribulations of artists as they navigate the complexities of our modern world.
