About the Artist

Working with a range of materials, including canvas, stainless steel and sheep skin, Lewer’s paintings are disturbing, personal visions of the curious nature of human behavior. Lewer completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Elam School of Fine Art, Auckland University, in 1992 and a Master of Visual Art at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne in 2000.
