We are pleased to present paintings, sculpture and photography by gallery artists. Select work offers a preview of the New York gallery’s upcoming programming, which will include solo exhibitions of new work by Chun Kwang Young, Miya Ando, Zheng Lu, Karen Knorr and our first show dedicated to work from the estate of Robert Natkin.
Our current show includes striking abstract canvases by Chicago-born artist Robert Natkin (1930–2010), whose estate the gallery now represents worldwide; sculptures by Beijing artist Zheng Lu (b. 1978, Inner Mongolia), whose most recent public installation is on view adjacent to the United Nations in New York; and work by Chun Kwang Young (b. 1944, Korea). We will be presenting Chun’s first show in New York since his solo presentation at the 2022 Venice Biennale.
The exhibition also features work by Edward Burtynsky, Ricardo Mazal, Sohan Qadri and Hiroshi Senju.
Established in 2000 in New York City, Sundaram Tagore Gallery represents established and emerging artists from around the globe, specialising in work that is aesthetically and intellectually rigorous, infused with humanism and art historically significant. The gallery was founded with a mission to show that some of the best and most meaningful art was being created by artists deeply engaged in cross-cultural explorations. Our international roster of artists cross cultural and national boundaries, synthesising Western visual language with forms, techniques and philosophies from Asia, the Subcontinent and the Middle East. More than twenty years later, we continue to champion artists, particularly women and those from underrepresented cultures, whose work exemplifies our interconnectedness.
We partner with the world's leading galleries to showcase their artists, artworks and exhibitions. Vetted by an acclaimed group of industry peers, our gallery membership is by application and invitation only.
