José Miguel Pereñíguez (Sevilla 1977) has been devoting greater attention to drawing and sculpture. His work revolves around the production of objects—functional or functioning—which, beyond being anecdotes, he uses to investigate questions relating to the theory of language, geometry or applied arts.
Some of the solo and group exhibitions in which he has participated are: CAAC (Seville), CAC (Malaga), José Guerrero Centre (Granada), Pedro Oliveira Gallery (Porto) and Museum of Modern Art (Moscow), among others. As well as taking part in the main national and international contemporary art fairs: ARCO, Arte Santander, Miami Untitled and Art Brussels, to mention just the most representative ones. His works form part of such collections as CAAC, DKV, the Cajasol Foundation, Collection of Obra Social Caja Madrid, the Collection Cervezas Alhambra and the Collection Rafael Botí, among others.
