Video artist Manuel Graf is known for his intense works exploring the nature of time. Sabotaging the world of ‘models’ has been a preoccupation his since early on, literally in the architectural models that are a feature of his films, and metaphorically in the post-modern sense of questioning the legitimacy of representation and truth.
Graf was born in 1978, in Bühl, Germany and studied at the Academy of Art in Dusseldorf. He has exhibited extensively including at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, Museum Abteiberg, Kunstverein Nürnberg, Augarten Contemporary Wien, Etablissement d´en face Brussels, Kunsthaus Baselland, LCCA Riga, and DeHallen Haarlem. He is represented by Johann König in Berlin and Van Horn in Düsseldorf.
