Galatea is participating in the 16th edition of ArtRio, taking place from September 16 to 20 at Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro. The gallery will present a selection of 33 artists spanning different generations and contexts within modern and contemporary art, bringing together key figures in Brazilian art, artists who have influenced—or been influenced by—the country’s art scene, as well as emerging talents.

The robust list of artists featured in Galatea’s booth at ArtRio 2026 includes Anísio O. The selection creates a dialogue between different periods and strands of modern and contemporary art, bringing together practices associated with geometric and constructive abstraction, figurative painting, textile practices, and investigations into materiality through ceramics, wood, and other supports.
