Kiaf SEOUL Announces 164 Galleries and New Satellite Fair
With Frieze Seoul dominated by international galleries, Kiaf will be the place to seek out Korean contemporary art come September.

The Galleries Association of Korea has announced a bumper crop of galleries for Kiaf SEOUL 2022, which takes place 3 to 6 September at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center.
Over 100 of the 164 participating galleries are from Korea, compared to just 10 of the 118 galleries joining Frieze Seoul.
'With over two decades of history and experience, Kiaf is in a unique position to showcase contemporary Korean art in unparalleled depth and breadth,' said Dal-Seung Hwang, President of the Galleries Association of Korea.
Among the Korean galleries returning to the fair are Arario Gallery, Hakgojae Gallery, Kukje Gallery, Leeahn Gallery, PKM Gallery, and Wooson Gallery.
International galleries participating for the first time include Anat Ebgi (Los Angeles), Anne Mosseri-Marlio Galerie (Basel), Axel Vervoordt (Wijnegem, Hong Kong), Galerie Thomas Schulte (Berlin), Galleria Continua (San Gimignano, Les Moulins, Habana, Beijing, Rome, São Paulo, Paris), Ora-Ora (Hong Kong), and Yumiko Chiba Associates (Tokyo).
Returning international galleries include Esther Schipper (Berlin), Peres Projects (Berlin), Perrotin (Paris, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul), and Whitestone Gallery (Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo).
This year, Kiaf SEOUL will also introduce Kiaf PLUS, a satellite fair featuring 73 galleries that will present experimental works such as new media art and NFTs.
