In March, Galeria Nara Roesler New York will open an exhibition of very rarely seen film works by one of Brazil´s most prolific contemporary film and video artists, Cao Guimaraes. The show will be curated by Moacir dos Anjos, who previously curated Guimaraes mid-career survey show at Itau Cultural in 2014. The exhibition will happen in collaboration with Cinema Tropical. In May, they will open an exhibition spanning over 60 years of Brazil´s most important Kinetic artist, Abraham Palatnik’s career, concurrent with a presentation of his work at Frieze New York’sSpotlight, curated by Clara M Kim. Nara Roesler, the founder of Galeria Nara Roesler, said about their new space, “I am thrilled to have a presence and a space in New York where we can connect with collectors, curators and artists. The viewing room allows us to show works by our extensive roster of artists, and expand the reach and legacy of Galeria Nara Roesler.
