Press Release

Asia Art Archive’s annual auction offers over seventy works generously donated by artists, galleries, and collectors.

Your contribution goes directly towards building our collections and keeping them accessible for all, our day-to-day operations, and our public programmes, which focus on recent histories of art from Asia. The annual auction is an essential source of support for AAA, raising around half of our annual budget.

The auction is also a wonderful opportunity to start an art collection or add to an existing one while supporting crucial work in the field.

In partnership with Christie’s, a preview exhibition of the artworks on auction will be held on 11, 14 to 17 October, with the reception taking place on the evening of 14 October. Kindly register here to attend the preview reception.

Bidding online and by absentee bid begins on 11 October at noon HKT and ends on 2 November at approximately 11:00 pm HKT.

Featured this year are the works of Hong Kong artists Luis Chan, MAP Office, Hon Chi Fun and Lam Tung Pang, alongside Yang Jiechang, Gao Weigang, Xu Bing and Yin Xiuzhen. A selection of other renowned artists include Takashi Murakami, Billy Apple, Ruth Asawa, Reena Saini Kallat, McArthur Binion, Maria Taniguchi, Sarah Crowner and Lorna Simpson.
