ARCOmadrid was founded in 1982 by gallerist Juana de Aizpuru, a pioneer of contemporary art collecting in Spain. Annually organised by IFEMA MADRID, the fair is an unmissable cultural event bringing together innovative proposals from galleries and artists around the world with a strong focus on art from the Mediterranean and Latin America.
In addition to the main General Programme, featuring galleries selected by the Organising Committee, ARCOmadrid presents three curated sections each year, dedicated to a research subject, young galleries, and the diverse artistic practices from Latin America. Key programmes also include forms and the publishing fair project, Arts Libris.
