PETER GIBSON-SMITH
Peter Gibson-Smith graduated from Elam SFA in 1983. Typically, his Post-Modern tongue-in-cheek ‘mannerist’ paintings are meticulously crafted, appropriating images and texts from Renaissance art and Western literature. Gibson-Smith was the recipient of the Frances Hodgkins Fellowship (1993) and has work in the collection of the Auckland Art Gallery.
