The Singapore Art Museum is housed in a restored 19th century mission school. Opened in 1996, it is focused on contemporary art from Singapore and South East Asia situating them within a global context. The museum has amassed one of the most significant collections of contemporary art from the region, showcasing the diversity and distinct aesthetics of artistic traditions.
