Read MoreWe represent artists whose practices reflect and question the different dimensions of the social subject. Our program is focused on individual and long-term exhibitions, and we represent a roster of Latin American artists with medium and long trajectories. We offer exhibitions that are a turning point both to the career of the artist and the local artistic panorama.
FORO.SPACE Artists
FORO.SPACE represents a diverse selection of emerging and mid-career Latin American artists working in a broad array of disciplines.
Among them Bogotá locals like interdisciplinary artist Fernando Arias whose photography, video, installation art and actions, tackle social and environmental issues, and Sonnia Yepez who takes everyday objects and, stripping them of their formal function, examines the relationship between objects, actions, and perception.
Latin American artists from further afield include Brazilian painter and sculptor João Trevisan, whose works examining the inherent characteristics of the object explore the qualities of intervals; and Basel-based Honduran artist Pável Aguilar who examines the human condition and collective memory through image and sound-based works.
FORO.SPACE Exhibitions and Art Fairs
Since opening, FORO.SPACE has held a number of group, solo and duo shows featuring artists within and beyond its roster. The gallery’s exhibition programme features a strong theoretical element as well as an engagement, at times, with social issues.
Adapting to the times with new exhibition strategies, the Spanish artist Iñaki Chávarri’s solo show It’s O.k We’re Only Human (2020) presented a physical intervention in the gallery space through an exclusively online format.
Expanding opportunities for its artists to present their works to a wider audience, FORO.SPACE participates in art fairs such as ARTBO |Bogotá International Art Fair.
