In 2012, Kristof De Clercq opened his gallery at a stone's throw from the historical heart of Ghent. The gallery supports and promotes Belgian artists who have often remained undeservedly off the grid, but also international artists who have already taken a fascinating course. The artists receive a platform through five exhibitions per year as well as an annual participation in art fairs in Europe, such as Art Brussels and Art Rotterdam. Kristof De Clercq gallery promotes to the artists they permanently represent, but also aims to present the work of younger artists in a group exhibition during the summer months.Read More
The gallery space is located in a green oasis in the center of the city and offers a place where art lovers, artists, art professionals and collectors can meet each other in a quiet atmosphere. The garden forms a central and connecting element between the public and the private part of the house.
After a successful growth over six years, Kristof De Clercq gallery looks towards the future, hoping to surpass the country’s borders by further introducing the Belgian artists abroad and collaborating with international galleries. The gallery also wants to further highlight the work of younger artists, in order to provoke a dialogue between the different generations.
